eLōs SA/SRA Skin Pigment Removal
About eLōs SA/SRA
eLos (electro-optical synergy) combines the synergy of bipolar Radio Frequency (RF) and light energies to treat vascular and pigmented lesions like rosacea, spider veins, red and brown spots, as well as skin imperfections caused by sun damage. Unlike other lasers or IPL, with an eLos IPL, the visible light energy targets the unwanted pigment or imperfections while the RF energy stimulates the production of collagen in the deeper layers of the skin. The addition of RF provides the additional benefit of treating fine wrinkles and improves skin texture irregularities, laxity and smoothness.
Will eLōs SA/SRA Rejuvinate My Skin?
By marrying Intense Pulsed Light and Radio Frequency energy into one treatment, eLos IPL treatments offer the very latest and most effective non-invasive form of skin rejuvenation. Most other photo-rejuvenation procedures utilize only optical energy (IPL or laser) without the added benefits of radio frequency to stimulate collagen and elastin. This treatment enhances all aspects of the skin, leaving you with a brighter, more youthful tone and texture.
Who Are The Best Candidates For eLōs SA/SRA?
Patients desiring an overall rejuvenation of their skin from the signs of aging will significantly benefit from eLos IPL. Fine lines, rosacea, flushing, pore size, ruddy complexion, broken capillaries, spider veins, hyperpigmentation, superficial melasma, freckles, age and sun spots, as well as textural irregularities can all be diminished or eliminated.
Is eLōs SA/SRA Safe?
eLos IPL is one extremely safe with a high degree of patient comfort. The synergistic blend of IPL and Radio Frequency allow the treatment to be performed on darker skin types than was traditionally safe. Even still, a consultation is required to determine if you are a candidate.
eLōs SA/SRA Treatmement
Most patients find the treatment extremely comfortable and no anesthesia is required. If desired, the area can be numbed for 45 min prior to treatment, then cleansed with a mild soap and water. A watery gel is applied to the treatment area to protect the surface of the skin. As the eLos is pulsed, a warm sensation is felt, signifying the treatment is working. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. Most patients require about 3-5 treatments to see the desired results and they are performed every 4-6 weeks. Some patients will benefit from additional treatments.
Recovery After Treatment
Immediately upon completion of treatment the skin will be pink and any brown discolorations may be darker and more noticeable. Mild swelling may be present, especially on the neck and chest. Over the next few days, the darkened areas will flake off revealing a more even complexion. Over the next few months, improvements in the texture and fine lines will appear. At the completion of the eLos IPL program the skin will have achieved a noticeable and consistent degree of improvement that over 90% of patients are very happy with. Occasionally, some patients desire an even greater degree of improvement and many of these patients will sign up for additional ELOS IPL procedures or opt for a more aggressive treatment for resurfacing, wrinkle correction or texture improvement such as Sublative Fractionated Radio Frequency or CO2RE CO2. Most ELOS IPL patients will just desire to maintain the nice skin enhancements they achieved from the program and, for these satisfied patients, a single maintenance ELOS IPL treatment is recommended every 4 to 6 months to keep the skin looking vital, even, smooth and youthful.
