An Effective, Painless Skin Rejuvenation Treatment
An IPL treatment is an innovative, effective, painless way that helps people get glowing skin. Many patients are choosing to undergo this laser treatment because its non-invasive and doesn’t cause any damage to the outer layer of skin. Dr. Hardesty and his team at Imagine Plastic surgery are happy to provide the best laser technologies to help their patients feel confident with their skin.
What is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photofacial?
The IPL photofacial is an Intense Pulsed Light procedure. The light is used to penetrate deep into the skin, then the photo-rejuvenation causes the blood vessels and collagen to constrict. This reduces redness and fine lines. This treatment helps with the treatment of sun damage, wrinkles, skin pigmentation, and much more. Dr. Hardesty and his team use the IPL photofacial technique to provide his patients with healthy, glowing skin. The photofacial is an effective way to minimize pore size, wrinkles, and sun damage. The IPL light waves can help eliminate signs of aging while stimulating the production of natural collagen in the skin. At Imagine Plastic Surgery our team wants to provide with a quick, effective way to get beautiful skin.

eLos SA/SRA
The eLos (electro-optical synergy) laser combines bipolar Radio Frequency (RF) and light energies to treat multiple skin conditions like rosacea, spider veins, red and brown spots, and sun damage. The eLos IPL uses visible light energy to target unwanted pigment or imperfections, while the RF energy helps stimulate the production of collagen. The addition of RF provides the benefit of treating fine lines, wrinkles, and improves skin texture irregularities, laxity, and smoothness.
The eLos SA/SRA Treatment
For this treatment no anesthesia is required. Many patients find it comfortable with very little discomfort at all. The area can be numbed for prior to treatment, then cleansed with mild soap and water. A gel is applied to the treatment area to protect the surface of the skin. As the eLos is pulsed, a warm sensation is felt, signifying the treatment is working. Each treatment takes about 30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated. Most patients require about 3-5 treatments to see the desired results and they are performed every 4-6 weeks. Some people may want additional treatments as well.
IPL Recovery
For your procedure, Dr. Hardesty will provide instructions for pre-treatment as well as post-treatment care. The recovery time for an IPL treatment is fairly short because there is little damage done to the skin. The side effects of this treatment such as redness or swelling should subside within a few hours of the treatment. Many patients go back to all daily activities immediately. It is important to avoid direct sunlight for a few weeks and to wear sunscreen. This way the skin can heal properly, and the results will last longer.
