Your Rapid Recovery Breast Enhancement Process

It all begins with strategic preoperative surgical planning, precise breast measurements, accurate selection of the size, type and location of implant placement, (see breast augmentation section for more details), and the ultimate breast appearance patients desire.

The morning of surgery, we place a prophylactic anti -nausea patch on patients to facilitate post-operative comfort. In addition, just prior to surgery you will receive a dose of anti-swelling and anti-inflammatory medication that will speed up your recovery.

During the surgery, minimal incisions are made. Our gentle, precise technique is coupled with an intra-operative injection of long acting local anesthesia in the pain nerves surrounding the breast tissue. In addition, based upon patient choice, we often insert a small, (size of pencil lead), tubing that is hooked up to a non-narcotic “pain pump.” This delivers local anesthesia constantly to the pain nerves of the breast. Our sophisticated “pain pump” is designed to release a constant and precise amount of pain relieving local non-narcotic anesthesia as needed for three days, thus allowing you to minimize or completely avoid oral narcotics. Our patients often return to light tasks the very next day because there is no need for mind altering narcotics.

After Rapid Recovery Breast Enhancement

Postoperatively, we recommend ice therapy, gentle massage, use of anti- inflammatory medication and vigilant follow-up with progressive stretching maneuvers. These additional steps provide additional improvement in recovery time and further assists in decreasing post-operative pain.
