Achieving a beautiful, shapley body after weight loss or bariatric surgery
Body lifts are one of the fastest-growing areas of cosmetic surgery, and most often, employed to reshape and contour the body following massive weight loss. Its popularity parallels the unprecedented growth of bariatric, (weight loss), surgeries being performed in the United States. For many patients, body lift surgery is the final step of a journey that begins with bariatric surgery.
The body lift I perform is a combination of procedures which help patients attain a slender, more attractive form. After massive weight loss, the body is usually left with loose, sagging skin that lacks elasticity. Exercise does not always shrink the overstretched, non-elastic skin, or remove the areas of diet-resistant fat. Thus, you are left with excess skin that falls off the stomach areas, thighs, and buttock. My body lift is designed to aesthetically contour a more slim, firm shape with only one circular incision located at the lower hip area, which is easily hidden with normal clothes or swimwear. This one-stage circumferential body contouring operation is truly liberating, allowing patients to again reclaim their body, wear the clothes they desire, as well as exercise without loose, hanging, and sagging skin. I find it vastly improves the of quality of life for my patients.
Additional procedures which often can be performed concurrently include Abdominoplasty, (‘Tummy Tuck’), Lateral Thigh Lift, Buttock Lift and Liposuction.
